B & H Engineering, as a subconsultant to HAKS Engineers, P.C., has provided construction inspection services for the New York State Department of Transportation. The work consisted of performing field inspection; monitoring containment system, lead content (air and soil), maintenance and protection of traffic, and safety; coordinating with MTCCC, MTA (NYC Transit), NYC agencies, and other contractors; reviewing contractor's Worker Health and Safety Plan, schedule, equipment and staffing; monitoring contractor's EEO requirements; conducting wage rate interviews; processing payments; and maintaining records.

The construction contract included the Cleaning and Painting of 10 Bridges, Lower Gowanus Expressway between 7th Avenue and 92nd Street, and Belt Parkway (Coney Island Viaduct), Kings County. The work consisted of blast cleaning steel surfaces and using Class "A" containment system; painting of steel superstructure and steel pier columns with three coat system; and maintenance and protection of traffic.
